Description
Ludwigia super red also known as Ludwigia palustris but differ from the customary
L.palustris. Ludwigia super red is a flowering plant from family Onagraceae which is an
aquatic or semiaquatic perennial herb. Ludwigia super red can grow on moist, wet or in
submerged form. It has height about 20-50cm and width about 4-6cm. This plant is smaller
than most Ludwigia species and the small leaves (approximately 1.5cm) make it differ from
Ludwigia “Rubin”. Ludwigia super red display intense red fire colour under medium light.
Ludwigia super red is a stem plant which usually plant on the substrate. A well size
tweezer should be good for grabbing a portion of few stems and inserted to the substrate.
The substrate should be moistened thoroughly beforehand for a better hold of the plants
and to prevent them from sticking to the tweezer. If the stem plants have little or no roots,
to reduce the water buoyancy, the plants should be inserted slightly slanted towards the
substrate weight.
